 Similarities between The White Tiger and Slumdog Millionaire :-

 
     
1)  Narrative structure :-

    The novel and the film's almost similar structure Both works starts with flashback techniques.
 
    In the novel Balram saw the poster and remembered his past. Same as in movie Jamal has questions on screen in KBC show and for the answer he is going to his past.The start of the game How the Indian police also portrayed in the film, was written in Mumbai 2006 very contemporary times come and then question comes. The film is all about the Kaun Banega Crorepati being the basic structure narrative the strategy.

2) Indianness
  In the movie and novel the picture of India is presented. Many things in both are same about India.

                      - Poetic justice

                      - Different between "knowledge "and "Understanding "

#Trains (Railway Station :- Train and station narration in both reflects Indianness .Balram 'S wanted poster and run away after crime all at the station. Jamal 'S quest, love and ending all at the station.Thus station reflects Indianness.

#Police system :- In Slumdog millionaire also police is corrupted .Thus it  reflects Indianness.

While on the other hand than Indian portrayed as poor, dirty, uncivilized, corrupt, uneducated people. The term is self based on the power dynamics. It shows the superiority of white on the Indian people.
